Restorative & Cosmetic Dentistry

RESTORATIVE PHASE OF IMPLANTS
The restorative phase of implants entails the placement of a final crown, bridge or denture. Implants are growing in popularity and becoming more affordable. Implant therapy has become the number one treatment option for replacing missing teeth. Replacing one tooth or stabilizing a denture, are just some of the functions of dental implants. With the proper care and the right environment a restored implant can be the best solution for long-term tooth loss.

TOOTH COLOURED FILLINGS
Our office provides tooth coloured material for all fillings.  We have been mercury free for over 8 years.  Tooth coloured materials are not only more esthetically pleasing but are stronger and last as long as mercury fillings.  They bond to the natural tooth rather than just filling the hole left after a cavity is removed.

CROWNS
A crown is a thimble-like cover, which fits over a heavily filled, damaged, or badly stained tooth.  It is a recommended treatment option after a root canal. Crowns strengthen weakened teeth, which are at risk of fracture.  It can be gold in colour or porcelain can be applied over the gold to give a more natural appearance.

COMPLETE DENTURES AND PARTIAL DENTURES
Complete Dentures and Partial Dentures are two common methods of replacing missing teeth. They not only help you to speak, chew and smile properly, they can help support cheeks and lips to create a more youthful, vibrant appearance.  Dentures are custom made and require a few appointments to make and with regular care, can last for many years.

TOOTH WHITENING
Tooth Whitening is a growing demand among our patients, which is why we offer an easy to use take home bleaching system with custom made bleaching trays. You receive the whitening system and can complete the treatment in the privacy of your own home. Used once a day for about two weeks, the gentle solution helps to remove years of stain.  Great results are only two appointments away.

BRIDGES
A bridge is used to replace a missing tooth/teeth.  Bridges help maintain the space left by a failed tooth, which helps prevent further breakdown of the surrounding teeth and tissues.  A bridge is an artificial tooth attached to a tooth on either side and is covered by porcelain for a natural appearance.

PORCELAIN VENEERS
Porcelain Veneers are a thin layer of porcelain that is placed on the front of the tooth for a more pleasing look. This two-step process includes a preparation appointment where the teeth are shaped and an impression is taken, and an appointment to bond the veneers in place.  They are used to disguise spaces, chips, mild crowding and wear marks on teeth, and are a fast and easy way to that perfect smile.
